The Chevy Trailblazer has taken on many personalities over the years. First, it was a trim level on the Chevy S-10 Blazer. From 2002 to 2008, the TrailBlazer was a rather nice three-row SUV built on a truck platform. When the second generation Trailblazer reached the US roadways in 2021, it was in the form of a compact SUV, which is the version of the Trailblazer we enjoy today.

For those looking for a Chevy Trailblazer for sale, knowing exactly what you’re looking for is a good idea. We’re particularly excited about the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer and all it has to offer drivers of all ages and needs. Since the early days, Chevy vehicles have offered plenty of options and choices to help drivers find exactly the right vehicle for their lifestyle and driving needs, and the 2024 Trailblazer is no exception. Our handy trim guide can help you decide whether the LS, LT, RS, or ACTIV trim is best for you.

Trailblazer Basics

The 2024 Chevy Trailblazer is offered in four trims: LS, LT, RS, and ACTIV. Two engines are available, and drivers can select between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive on all models. The engine options offered depend on the combination of trim and drive train you select.

The standard power source for those who select the LS or LT trim with front-wheel drive is an Ecotec 1.2L Turbo engine. It produces 137 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque, which is ideal for most daily drivers. Those who select the RS and ACTIV front-wheel drive models or any Trailblazer with all-wheel drive receive an Ecotec 1.3L Turbo engine that dials the power up to 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque.

This more powerful engine maintains reasonable fuel economy, too. When paired with Chevy’s CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), which comes standard with front-wheel drive models, drivers can enjoy an EPA-estimated 29 MPG city, 33 MPG highway, and 31 MPG combined. All-wheel drive models include a nine-speed automatic transmission and are rated for 26 MPG city, 29 MPG highway, and 27 MPG combined. The EPA has not published 2024 fuel ratings for the 1.2L engine, but the 2023 Trailblazer with this engine was rated for 29 MPG city, 31 MPG highway, and 30 MPG combined.

Trailblazer passengers have plenty of room, with over 39 inches of rear seat legroom. The rear cargo area provides 25.3 cu.ft. of cargo space. The 60/40 split folding rear seats and front passenger seat can be stashed to provide up to 54.4 cu.ft. of cargo space. With the front passenger seat folded flat, the cargo area can also accommodate objects up to 8.5 feet long, providing plenty of flexibility when hauling your gear, whatever shape it may be.

2024 Trailblazer Trim Guide

While each trim has much to offer, we love that the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer includes many standard features for comfort, convenience, and peace of mind. For example, each and every Trailblazer includes the Chevy Safety Assist suite of driver assistance technology. This includes Forward Collision Alert with Front Pedestrian Braking, Following Distance Indicator, and Automatic Emergency Braking, along with Lane Keep Assist and IntelliBeam automatic high beams.

LS

The LS trim provides all the modern conveniences in the cabin. The infotainment system is operated via an 11-inch HD color touchscreen in all models. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity are standard on all trims, and each Trailblazer includes at least one extra USB-A and USB-C port. An eight-inch color Driver Information Center provides information about speed, fuel consumption, and more. The LS may be the most basic trim, but it does offer the LS Confidence Package, which includes Rear Park Assist, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The LS Conveneince Package adds dark-tinted rear glass and remote start.

LT

Those who select the LT trim will unlock a variety of features that add even more appeal to the Trailblazer. The LT trim and above include heated exterior mirrors, roof-mounted side rails, and remote start capability. Also, while the LS front-wheel drive model includes a four-speaker audio system, the LT and above include a standard six-speaker audio system. Every all-wheel drive Trailblazer comes equipped with a six-speaker audio system with an amplifier. Available only on the LT is the LT Cold Weather Package, which adds heated driver and front passenger seats, a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped shift knob.

RS

The features add cool points and luxury to the cabin at the RS level. An eight-way power adjustable driver seat and heated driver and front passenger seats replace the six-way manual driver seats on the LS and LT trims. A heated steering wheel also comes standard with the RS trim, though this is offered as an option on the LT trim. A stylish black grill gives the RS a more sporty look, as do the 19-inch high-gloss black machined wheels exclusive to the RS trim.

ACTIV

The ACTIV trim lives up to its name with a host of features that make it ideal for some rougher terrain. While it’s not fully Baja-ready, it’s prepared for light adventure with skid plates, an off-road-tuned suspension, a black mesh grille with Titanium chrome accents, and easy-to-clean Evotex seating material. Drivers can also select a contrasting roof color to give the outside a sleek appearance.

It’s the Little Things: 2024 Chevy Trailblazer Packages

Chevy’s many optional packages and features range from all-weather floor liners, premium carpet floor mats, or brushed polished metal and rubber sport pedals. The packages can also add extras that make drivers feel more comfortable behind the wheel.

A few packages are offered exclusively on the LT trim and above, including the Convenience Package. The features in this package are ideal for road trippers, including automatic climate control, additional charging-only USB ports, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, wireless device charging, and illuminated mirrors on the front visors. Each trim also has a few extra goodies that come in its Convenience Package. The LT and above gain a power adjustable driver’s seat, a rear center armrest, and a power liftgate, while the RS and ACTIV trims gain a hands-free power programmable liftgate with LED projection. An optional panoramic sunroof can be found on select LT, RS, and ACTIV models.

While it may seem like the RS and ACTIV trims have it all, drivers can still opt for more with the Adaptive Cruise and Sound Package, which adds Adaptive Cruise Control and a Bose premium seven-speaker audio system, which might just make your commute significantly more enjoyable.
