Let’s Find You the Perfect Chevy Equinox

The Equinox is one of our favorite small SUVs, which should come as no surprise since we’re a Chevy dealership. With its impressive performance, gorgeous design, and remarkable features inside and out, however, even an unbiased look at this vehicle makes it clear that the Equinox is something special. When you come to us looking for a Chevy Equinox for sale, you’ll discover that you have three trim levels to choose from. That’s pretty much a perfect amount since it lets you choose the kinds of features you want without going overboard or missing out on anything. Choosing the right one, especially if you’re trying to decide between the RS and ACTIV trims, can be tricky, however, so we’re going to help. Let’s take a look at all three trims for the Equinox and figure out which one has everything you want.
2025 Chevy Equinox LT – Exceptional Standard Features
As you’re exploring what the Chevy Equinox has to offer, there’s no better place to start than with the LT, which showcases all of the standard features while still having some nice extra options. Every Equinox model is powered by a 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder engine that provides 175 hp and up to 203 lb-ft of torque, ensuring you have a great time on the road each day. You can choose between front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) to get the kind of handling and experience you prefer. Note that FWD comes with a continuously variable transmission while AWD features an eight-speed automatic instead, though both are a joy to drive.
The LT model comes with 17-inch wheels wrapped in standard all-season tires, and features LED headlamps and tail lamps. You get body-color side mirror caps on this model, which are heated and power-adjustable, so you can more easily position them how you need. At the back is a manual liftgate that gives you access to its nearly 30 cu.ft. of rear cargo volume. You get deep-tinted rear glass for added privacy and protection against the sun for your interior. IntelliBeam automatic high beams are standard, and they switch off automatically when oncoming traffic is detected to help avoid blinding other drivers.
Inside the standard LT model, you’ll find a beautifully appointed interior with a great selection of tech and comfort features. A gorgeous 11.3-inch advanced color LCD infotainment display is standard with Google built-in, which is paired with an 11-inch color Driver Information Center screen that is reconfigurable with different themes and settings available. You get a six-speaker sound system, along with comfortable cloth seating including a six-way driver’s seat, heated front seats that are perfect for cold winter mornings, and a wrapped, heated steering wheel. Keyless open and start with remote start functionality is standard, which makes it easier to get going in the morning, and you get adaptive cruise control to enhance your drive each day.
Every 2025 Equinox comes with the Chevy Safety Assist suite of driver assistance features that includes a Forward Collision Alert with Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with a Lane Departure Warning. You get Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking with intersection collision detection, plus Rear Park Assist that includes Rear Cross Traffic Braking and Reverse Automatic Braking. The Equinox also comes with Blind Zone Steering Assist, a Side Bicyclist Alert, and even a Safety Alert Seat that uses directional vibrations to indicate which side of your vehicle a potential crash is detected. All of this comes together beautifully to create an SUV that is safe, stylish, and sophisticated.

2025 Chevy Equinox RS – Sporty and Stylish Design
One of the things we really like about the Equinox these days is that you have two trim levels available beyond the first, but they’re both priced about the same. Their features are a bit different, but much of this difference comes down to their styling and design details. This lets you get what you’re looking for in your next Chevy Equinox without feeling like you’re missing out on anything by not going with a higher trim level. While we love the overall feel and features of the LT, if you’re looking for something with street-inspired styling and great features inside and out, then you should check out the RS model.
From the outside, you’ll immediately notice a number of exterior details that set the RS trim apart from the LT (and the ACTIV, which we’ll look at in a moment). Up front, there’s a unique fascia design and Black grille that creates a strong, immediate impression. The RS comes with Black badging and emblems on the outside, which go along with the other details beautifully, and it comes with 19-inch Carbon flash metallic machined-face wheels that look absolutely stunning. Numerous exterior colors are available for the RS, including Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Lakeshore Blue Metallic, which are offered with an available Mosaic Black Metallic roof for a gorgeous two-tone style.
At the back of the RS, you’ll find an AutoSense power liftgate that can open automatically when you get close to it with the key fob, including a memory height function so you can program how high you want the gate to open to best meet your needs. Inside, you’ll find a number of nice upgrades including an eight-way power driver’s seat, Evotex seating that looks and feels amazing, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Taking interior design to the next level, you get distinct Torch Red and Santorini Blue stitching with the Black upholstery along with a wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel, giving the Equinox RS a gorgeous look.

2025 Chevy Equinox ACTIV – Adventurous Outdoor Style
New for the 2025 Equinox, its first-ever ACTIV trim gives you off-road-inspired design and styling, along with some unique touches to enjoy. For starters, the ACTIV features 17-inch Dark Android machined-face wheels with all-terrain tires on them, providing enhanced grip and traction in different conditions. You also get a uniquely tuned suspension inspired by off-road performance and engineering, giving this model a distinct ride feel that you won’t find on other Equinox trims. Numerous exterior colors are available including Mosaic Black Metallic, Reef Blue Metallic, and Cacti Green; each of these can be combined with a Summit White roof for a two-tone look that is notably distinct from what the RS offers.
Inside the ACTIV, you’ll find many of the same great features that we love about the RS, such as the eight-way power driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a wireless charging pad for compatible devices. Where the RS has its Black seating with Red accents, the ACTIV features gorgeous Black and Maple Sugar upholstery with sueded microfiber inserts that look and feel amazing. The result is a cabin that is beautifully distinct, even though it has much in common with the other two models. These kinds of details and design differences perfectly illustrate how Chevy has approached the 2025 Equinox to make something special.
Which Equinox Model Is Right for You?
As you can see, you can’t really go wrong with any of these—it just comes down to what you need and which one catches your eye. The LT is a great pick if you’re not looking for a lot of extras, though you can still choose available options that include what you’ll find in the higher trims; there’s even a Midnight Edition that adds 19-inch Black wheels and more intimidating exterior details. If you want to get those upgrades and some unique style, then the RS and ACTIV trims both give you a lot to enjoy with their own good looks and distinct designs. We think the easiest way to decide is to see these models for yourself, which is why we love getting to show them off to our customers and make sure you get everything you need.
